Access to official documents

The Freedom of Information Act (Swiss Federal Act on Freedom of Information in the Administration, FoIABundesgesetz über das Öffentlichkeitsprinzip in der Verwaltung, BGÖ) is intended to promote transparency regarding the remit, organisation and activities of the administration. It contributes towards keeping the public informed by ensuring access to official documents.
The Freedom of Information Act came into force on 1 July 2006 and ENSI is also subject to this law.

Access to official documents generally requires the payment of a fee. Fees of less than CHF 100.00 are not charged. If the costs are likely to exceed CHF 100.00, you will be informed and you must confirm your request before it will be processed.
