Jean-Claude Veyre

Former Director, Resources Division

Jean-Claude Veyre (born in 1957) studied electrical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, graduating with a degree in that subject in 1980.

After his studies, he joined Haefely & Cie AG in Basel  where he latterly held the post of Development Manager in the Network Components division. He then transferred to K. Swiss AG in Basel as Project Manager in the Engineering division, where he came into contact with the subject of quality management and – in the position of Project Manager – guided the company to ISO 9001 certification. He ultimately became Quality Manager for the entire holding company.

He moved into the consulting business in 2000 and, together with a partner, established an independent consulting firm in 2001. During this period he also supported HSK with obtaining ISO 9001 certification in the capacity of external coach.

In June 2004, Jean-Claude Veyre joined HSK (as ENSI was then known) as Head of the Resources and Logistics (REL) section; he also took on the post of Quality Officer in 2005.

His main projects included the introduction of the electronic management system and business monitoring, as well as the implementation project in connection with preparations for the transition from HSK to ENSI. In addition, he carried out various assignments for the IAEA as an expert on management systems.

Since 1 February 2009, Jean-Claude Veyre has headed the newly-formed Resources Division, which brings together all ENSI’s cross-sectional activities.
